The Right One Will Come Along

On my trips out to California there is always one thing that I am fascinated by and that’s the surfing culture. I have seen the sea filled with surfers just patiently waiting for the right wave to come along. I have watched some surfers grab the very first wave that comes along while others seem to be a bit more picky about the wave they want to ride. There is a love for the sea and it can be clearly seen in the faces of those surfers.
On the plane back home after my visit, it hit me how surfing and waiting for that right wave is very similar to how some of us pursue love.
It took me several sketches before I felt the emotion was captured but I’m more than happy with the turnout.
